Author's notes: I was inspired to write this story a long time ago. I had already begun to draw the characters before I wrote the story. I daydreamed a lot and then I started coming up with small stories about each of them. I tweaked all the stories and tied them together when I wrote them down in a small sketch book. I just wrote the dramatic begining down in that sketch book. Then, the begining was so much different than it is now. I reread that begining many times and I kept thinking of other things to happen after that. I began writing my story on notebook paper during my classes. Anyway, I continued to work on it for over 2 years. Then, it was 100 pages long; now, it would be about 425+ pages hand written. I daydreamed some more, and came up with more ideas and new characters to make my story better. Foreign Home has really progressed over time, and it was alot of work.
